Project Cargo

Heavy Equipment Export from Canada to Africa

Export excavators, bulldozers, generators, trucks and industrial machinery from Canada to African ports — RoRo, flat-rack and breakbulk solutions for any size load.

About this service

Oversized and heavy machinery requires specialized equipment and experienced handling. VELOX Logistics ships construction equipment, generators, mining gear, industrial machinery and rolling stock from Canada to ports across Africa.

Whether your unit drives on its own wheels (RoRo), needs a flat-rack (oversized), or has to break down into components (breakbulk), our project cargo team plans the safest, most cost-effective method end-to-end.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between RoRo and container shipping?

RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) ships rolling units like vehicles and equipment on dedicated vessels. Containers are sealed boxes — fine for smaller equipment but limited by door size.

Can you ship non-running equipment?

Yes. Non-runners can be loaded with a tow truck or shipped on a flat-rack. Tell us in advance so we plan accordingly.

Do you provide cargo insurance on heavy equipment?

Yes. We strongly recommend all-risk marine insurance on high-value units — we arrange it at the time of booking.

Which African ports do you serve for heavy machinery?

Dakar, Abidjan, Tema, Lagos, Douala, Pointe-Noire, Walvis Bay, Dar es Salaam and Mombasa among others.

How long does ocean transit take?

Montreal to West Africa is typically 18–30 days depending on routing and port rotation.
