Exporting a vehicle from Canada is straightforward when you understand the three layers involved: Canadian export rules, ocean freight logistics, and destination country import rules.

Step 1: Confirm clear title

You must have the original title or ownership documents in your name (or a notarized bill of sale). Leased or financed vehicles cannot be exported without the lienholder's written release.
